I have decided to take a very strategic approach to this
weight loss journey. As already mentioned I have a lot of weight to lose to be
considered healthy and I am factoring in that there will be period of zero
weight loss, perhaps for several weeks at a time.
As I noticed yesterday The 5:2 Plan is working for me at the
moment but I imagine that after the first (or maybe second) stone the weight will
stop going and I will hit a plateau. This is where strategic planning comes
into it, I have deliberately started this plan with little or no exercise and I
will be using the following methods for kick starting the weight loss again;
Plateau 1: Introduce
bi-weekly 30 minute workouts at the gym
Plateau 2: Increase
to tri-weekly 30 minute workout
Plateau 3: Increase
intensity of workouts to 1 hr
Plateau 4: Switch
down to 4:3 fasting
Plateau 5: Increase
to 5x weekly workouts (ouch)
If I plateau again I’ll make a short switch to ADF
(alternate day fasting) but hopefully it won’t come to that. My theory is
that with 5-5.5 stones to lose I will plateau around 5-6 times.
Any thoughts? Any better ideas?
